About Skiary

Skiary is the last surviving house of an old croft a mile along the coast from Kinloch Hourn. There is no road to Skiary, the 22 mile stretch of single-track road ends at Kinloch Hourn. Visitors must proceed by a twenty minute walk along a picturesque loch-side footpath, or can be collected free of charge by boat.

The house itself has no electricity, instead parrafin lamps are used for lighting.

Guests sleep in three cozy twin rooms, with a shared bathroom and sitting room. Meals are eaten in the greenhouse, accompanied by stunning Loch Hourn sunsets and views of the many birds, seals and red deer.
