Things to do
Skiary offers a wealth of fantastic experience for lovers of mountains.Situated between the rough bounds of Knoydart and the delightful south Shiel ridge, ten of Scotland's most remote munros within striking distance, as well as several Corbetts. Hillwalkers are trulyspoilt for choice. Skiary is at the base of Sgurr nan Eugallt.
For those seeking more relaxed walks, stunning footpaths run along the Loch and up the surrounding glens. On a warm day, the numerous burns provide ample swimming pools.
The wildlife provides at least as much entertainment as a television would, with seals and deer making regular appearances (including a very tame herd who come down to be fed). Sea otters can occasionally be seen by the lucky. Sea kayakers, on the other hand, are common.
Nothing can beat the experience of fishing for mackarel and barequeing them.
